Our Story

The Birth of Jakiro

From Missed Calls to a Moment of Clarity

After a decade of running his business, Heemin found himself in a battle he hadn't prepared for—not against competitors, but against time itself. Customer inquiries flooded in like an unstoppable tide, while his team struggled to keep their heads above water. Productivity dipped. Stress soared. And every missed call was a potential customer slipping through the cracks.

Then came the summer of 2023. But instead of the bright, profitable season Heemin had hoped for, it was clouded with missed opportunities. Voicemails stacked up, emails went unanswered, and leads grew cold faster than he could warm them up. At one point, he realized he'd lost over $12,600 in potential revenue in just one week simply because he couldn't respond fast enough.

When the summer rush faded, it left behind another harsh reality: winter was coming. Fewer calls. Slower business. But the payroll? Still sky-high, with seasonal staff he couldn't keep busy and full-timers he couldn't afford to lose. It was a lose-lose situation, and Heemin felt trapped.

Enter Dane.

Their friendship was forged in the fiery battlegrounds of Dota 2, where strategy, timing, and teamwork were everything. While life had pulled them in different directions—Heemin scaling his business, Dane climbing the corporate ladder—their bond remained, rooted in countless late-night games and shared victories.

But this time, it wasn't a game that brought them back together. It was something far more powerful: GPT-4 Turbo.

Dane, an electrical engineer turned software engineer and avid tech enthusiast, couldn't contain his excitement. He reached out to Heemin, eager to showcase the cutting-edge AI that was rewriting the rules of possibility. The moment Heemin saw it in action, the question flew from his lips without hesitation:

"Can this talk to customers?"

"Yes."

Dane replied confidently

"Can it make changes to the software we use to manage our customers?"

Heemin blurted, without a moment to think. Dane paused, just for a heartbeat.

"No."

He admitted:

"But I can."

And that was it—the spark that ignited a revolution.

Jakiro

Why "Jakiro"?

Named after a legendary support hero from Dota 2—a dual-headed dragon that embodies the perfect blend of fire and ice. Just like its namesake, Jakiro was designed to be the ultimate support system—seamlessly handling customer interactions with blazing speed and cool, calculated efficiency.

What started as a simple idea between two friends became the solution to a problem that had plagued businesses like Heemin's for years. And just like in the games they played, it wasn't about going solo. It was about teamwork, timing, and turning challenges into victories.

This is Jakiro's story.

And it's only just begun.

The Founders

Meet Dane & Heemin

Dane Jordan

Dane Jordan

Co-Founder & CEO

Dane went from designing waveform generators and building an 8-bit CPU from scratch at Cal Poly to shipping Disney+ to millions of screens worldwide. At Disney Streaming, he delivered pixel-perfect UIs for one of the largest product launches in entertainment history and developed automated tooling that drastically accelerated their AWS infrastructure workflows.

He then moved to Meta, where he quickly became the de facto culture leader on his team — orchestrating a 100% bootcamper conversion rate, a 400% year-over-year increase. But the pull of building something of his own never faded. He'd already proven it once with Gryp, a venture that netted $210K in revenue within its first three months.

When Heemin showed him the problem — overwhelmed support teams, missed calls, revenue slipping through the cracks — Dane saw what he'd been waiting for: a technical challenge worth leaving Big Tech behind. He now leads Jakiro's product and engineering, turning the same precision that launched Disney+ into AI agents that run real businesses.

Heemin Cho

Heemin Cho

Co-Founder & COO

For over twelve years, Heemin built and operated multiple British Swim School locations across Lake County and Southlands Chicago — part of the fastest-growing swim school franchise in the country. He didn't just run a business; he lived the daily reality of managing seasonal staff, fielding hundreds of parent inquiries, and trying to deliver premium customer experiences at scale.

It was the summer of 2023 that broke the pattern. Voicemails stacked up, leads went cold, and in one brutal week, $12,600 in potential revenue vanished — not because the service was lacking, but because his team simply couldn't respond fast enough. He'd experienced the franchise operator's impossible trade-off firsthand: hire more people you can't keep busy in the off-season, or watch revenue walk out the door during peak months.

That pain became Jakiro's founding insight. Heemin now leads operations and customer success, ensuring every AI agent is built around how franchise businesses actually work — not how technologists imagine they should. Under his direction, clients have seen up to an 80% increase in new customer sales within weeks of going live.
